Science Slam: the winners!

Tien promovendi. Tien jonge dichters.

Dirty Manifesto

The first word I said was stone,
A stone and a stone is a street

What do our feet know?
How difficult it is to think the earth.

Think the earth in creepy crawlers,
The city underground

A mole digs a tunnel
Even the metro has a snout

Soil? The word smells like diapers and old people
It sounds way too clean.
Dirt! Is the true word,
like fuck or love or house.

Metamorphosis like the butterfly
From caterpillar too cocoon,

Living inside, living.
Transform. Photosynthesize.

Wait, and listen,
Can you hear the silent song of the earth?

The one who walks, a flaneur,
sings this song with his feet

What does he know?

Adam in Hebrew means red clay
Eve means ‘life’

Am I born from your rib or are you born from mine?
Buildings move in front of his eyes like tanks as he walks by

He thinks about the sunlight, About the rain.
How autumn cuts the leaves of the trees with wind as its scissor.

His hat blows off. He looks up
Head tilted backwards. His body becomes a pillar.

We follow his spine to the ground.

Our superficial humanness
The humus that we are

Do not go gentle into that good old dirt
The planetary history beneath our feet,

A slow history that doesn’t synchronize
with the clock with the rhythm of our march.

(I walk because I walk)
I erode the geological epochs with my ignorance.

Layers of the earth, Jurassic, Devonian, Silurian, Permian. Triassic,
A person as a geological force of nature. Making man into rock.

Layers of the mind turning pores into concrete.
Our dirty manifesto cannot breathe.

The flaneur,
Looks at the clouds and doesn’t notice the construction pit

Let me tell you this:
he falls down in it

when I was younger I would buy stones in Germany
and I would smash them to see what’s inside.

crystals, history, both are mine.
