Flitscolleges en tafelpraat

Wat is het verschil tussen dromen en hallucineren? Als een zelfrijdende auto botst, wie krijgt dan de schuld? En in hoeverre mag de overheid ingrijpen bij alcoholgebruik? Dit jaar bundelen de Young Academy Groningen en Studium Generale op Noorderzon hun krachten in een serie flitscolleges en tafelgesprekken. Vijf dagen lang delen wetenschappers hun onderzoek in flitscolleges, waarna je tijdens tafelpraat in gesprek kunt gaan met deze en andere wetenschappers. Schrijf of  teken jouw ideeën en gedachten op het tafelkleed; deze krijgen een plek aan de Wetenschapswaslijn die van dinsdag t/m zaterdag door alle festivalgangers te bewonderen is.

Flitscolleges
Bevlogen wetenschappers van de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen vertellen over de meest uiteenlopende onderwerpen in de kortste lezingen van Noorderzon. Laat je via een koptelefoon bijpraten over bijzondere en verrassende onderzoeken en thema’s.

Dinsdag 25 t/m zaterdag 29 augustus dagelijks om 16:00 uur, 16:30 uur, 17:00 uur en 17:40 uur

Tafelpraat
Aan tafel krijg je de vragen van de dag op je bord. Na de flitscolleges kun je aanschuiven bij een wetenschapper voor een kort gesprek. Een plek om samen te praten, te twijfelen, te discussiëren en ideeën uit te wisselen, op een eerlijke en gelijkwaardige manier. Schrijf of teken je gedachten, opmerkingen en ideeën op het tafelkleed. Deze krijgen vervolgens een plek aan de Wetenschapswaslijn, waar alles wat aan tafel ontstaat zichtbaar wordt.

What is the difference between dreaming and hallucinating? If a self-driving car crashes, who’s responsible? To what extent should the government be allowed to intervene in alcohol consumption? This year at Noorderzon, Studium Generale and Young Academy Groningen are joining forces for a series of short lectures and public discussions. For five days, scientists will share their research in flash lectures, after which you can engage in a conversation with them during roundtable discussions.

Flash talks 
Enthusiastic scientists from the University of Groningen will discuss a wide variety of topics in Noorderzon’s shortest lectures. Put on headphones and listen to their unique and surprising research.

Table Thoughts
Join researchers at the table to discuss the questions of the day. After the flash talks, you can join a scientist for a brief conversation. A place to talk, question, discuss, and exchange ideas together. Write or draw your thoughts, comments, and ideas on the tablecloth, which will be displayed on the Line of Thought, where everything discussed at the table becomes visible.
