Busting Myths About Religion
What is the position of religion in our secularized society? Is religion merely a source of conflict and intolerance, leading to terrorism and holy wars? Or is the link between religion and violence a myth? Does religion divide or unite our society? At Stukafest Festival, Joram Tarusarira, Director of the Centre for Religion, Conflict and the Public Domain, will discuss these topics with students in a cosy student room!
Program:
Round 1: 8.30 - 9.00 pm
Round 2: 9.30 - 10.00 pm
Round 3: 10.30 - 11.00 pm
Joram Tarusarira is Assistant Professor of Religion, Conflict and Peacebuilding, in the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies at University of Groningen and Director of the Centre for Religion, Conflict and the Public Domain.
